As a family, we’re always on the lookout for somewhere new to enjoy a relaxed meal together. Somewhere that not only serves great food but also welcomes little ones with open arms. So when we were invited to Neps, a family-run Italian restaurant in the heart of Cookham, we couldn’t wait to try it out.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a genuine sense of hospitality. The staff were so friendly and attentive—especially with Olivia, who was made to feel like a VIP from the moment she sat down. It’s those small, thoughtful touches that make all the difference when dining out with kids.

The restaurant itself has a lovely, relaxed vibe—modern yet cosy, perfect for everything from date nights to family dinners. The menu at Neps is extensive, with something for everyone. Whether you’re after a comforting bowl of pasta, a wood-fired pizza, or something a little different, you’ll be spoilt for choice.

We enjoyed a range of dishes, and everything we tried was full of flavour and beautifully presented. My personal highlight? The Hubsters reaction to his cocktail—a must-try if you’re into your cocktails! It’s clear that a lot of love and care goes into what they serve, and the quality really speaks for itself.

It’s easy to see why Neps has such a loyal local following, but if you’re a family who hasn’t discovered it yet—this place is a real hidden gem. It’s family-run, family-friendly, and completely worth a visit.

We left with full tummies, happy hearts, and plans to return again soon.
