Who is this Gem person anyway…?
I want to start by saying thank you – yes to you. I am really grateful that you have chosen to take the time to read my little blog.
So, you’re probably wondering what this is all about? As you can probably guess I’m Gemma – or Gem and most people call me. I’m a professional living in the UK with my husband, our two cats and our daughter. I finally feel like I’m beginning to get this ‘being an adult thing’ down.
I’m a wannabe chef who loves to cook, loves to take photographs and make amateur videos, a huge lover of Zumba, and Clubbercise and like to dabble in the world of design and crafting. (Disclaimer – please note I am no expert, a lot of my creations are based on hacks or tips n tricks and are ‘made with love’).
Like many people, the past few years have brought a lot of ups and downs – for me, I got married to my partner of the best part of 20 years, I’ve experienced huge loss of loved ones, had my first baby (during a pandemic), purchased my first home, and taken great leaps that have improved my career. My health which was once on the up has also taken quite the knock so I’m now on a mission to get myself ship shape and feel healthy.
I’m always being told that I have great organisational skills, am the go to gal for advice and like to help people so I thought why not put those things to good use and have a go at a blog. This could be the start of a new big and exciting chapter in my life, or it could tank and I could be the only person that reads this – either way, why not try. This blog is as much for me as it is for anyone reading it, I do not plan on taking any steps backwards so this will help keep me focused.
So this space is going to be my story and hopefully sharing new and exciting adventures that I’m yet to have with my little family. No doubt a lot of this will be about cooking and trying to navigate my way through this crazy thing called motherhood but I’ll try and shake things up and keep it interesting by sharing new products I’m trying, days out reviews, crafting projects, maybe I’ll be brave and share hair and make up stories. My only hope is that just one person might stumble across this and it might inspire them – if I do, then happy days!
I chose the name #TeaWithGem as I want my blog to be relaxed and like friends meeting to share stories or tips and tricks so I’m sure it’s going to be full of weird and wonderful things. So welcome and I hope you like what I share! If you want to know more feel free to keep reading, lets see where it takes us….
