Apparently my last blog post was back in February, which genuinely doesn’t feel possible. I didn’t make some big decision to stop blogging. There was no dramatic “I’m taking a break from the internet” moment.
Life just… happened.
One week turned into a month, which somehow turned into several months, and every time I thought “I really need to sit down and write something”, something else needed doing first.
So, hello. I’m still here. And actually, quite a lot has happened.
Little Miss is growing up at a frankly unacceptable rate. We’ve had family days out, holidays, school milestones, work, birthdays, ordinary days, stressful days and lots of lovely little moments in between.
There are things I want to catch you up on and things I want to start writing about again, but I don’t think I need to cram six months of life into one post.
This is really just me dipping my toe back in.
Oh, and then there was the vinegar…
If you’ve found me recently through Facebook, there’s a fairly good chance you’re here because of a giant jar of Fire Cider.
Which is a sentence I never expected to write.
I decided to make a little homemade winter wellness cupboard this year for the first time, filmed myself making Fire Cider in my kitchen, popped the video online and thought absolutely nothing of it.
And then Facebook apparently said:
“Yes. This woman and her jar of vinegar. Show it to EVERYONE.”
At the time of writing this, that little video has been watched more than 1.4 MILLION times.
Even typing that feels ridiculous.
My Facebook page has gone from having basically nobody there to almost 10,000 followers in a matter of days, and suddenly there are thousands of new people joining my little corner of the internet.
So if you’re one of them, hello and welcome!
I promise I do occasionally talk about things other than garlic and apple cider vinegar.
Although judging by the response to the honey garlic I made next, perhaps this is just who I am now. 😂
So… what happens now?
I think I come back.
Not with an enormous content schedule or promises that I’m going to post three times a week forever, because I know myself far too well for that.
I just want to start writing again.
Family life, food, days out, things I’m loving, things I’ve tried, little projects at home, reviews, probably far too many photos and all the random bits of everyday life that have always made up this blog.
I’ve missed having somewhere to actually write, somewhere that isn’t limited to a caption or a 30-second video.
So perhaps accidentally going viral over a jar of vinegar was the slightly ridiculous push I needed to find my way back here.
Consider this my little hello again. ❤️
I’m still here.
And I think I’ve got quite a lot to tell you.
